The annual Midwinter Festival is upon us!
Traditionally the people of the Forgotten Realms have used this time to reflect on the actions of the past year, and to take action towards rebuilding old political alliances and agreements. The last few years, though, have seen a shift in which the common folk have turned the Midwinter holiday into something that focused more on the concepts of family, community, and togetherness. In fact, the tradition has even spread to Port Nyanzaru!
Over the next few weeks, the D&D Adventurers League admin team will be posting via Facebook and Twitter about certain holiday events. For you – the player – there will be short surveys. For you – the character – there will be limited-use holiday-themed certificates. Surveys will launch on Wednesdays, and those that participate will receive a thank-you gift the following week when the next survey launches. Furthermore, we will be asking for submissions of photos of your gaming group for an upcoming project, and we even have a little… something… “more”… landing right around December 18th. That’s all I can say on that front (something-something-contracts-and-NDAs).
To get things started, Fai Chen would like us to make this announcement:
BIIIIIIIIG HOLIDAY BLOWOUT AT FAI CHEN’S MAGICAL FAIRE!
I’ve had a very busy year, full of tressym and real estate gambles and even some robust trading – I mean, who trades legendary items for +1 shields? CRAZY, RIGHT? Thanks to all you fine adventurers, my coffers have never been more full… so I’m turning some of that coin back to you!
I’ve managed to secure a deal through some people I know way up north near the Ten-Towns. They’ve crafted some limited-edition snowglobes for me, and in thanks I want to offer each and every one of you A FREE SNOWGLOBE! That’s right: FREE! No trading, no cost, no nothing – just free-free-free!
My lawyers have advised me to add the following non-exhaustive statements: the snowglobes are guaranteed functional at time of delivery but Fai Chen Corporation, Ltd., takes no responsibility for the use, lack of use, or misuse of these free gifts, and no warranty is offered or will be considered for these items. These items have no monetary value and once accepted by the original recipient cannot be traded away for any reason. Other exclusions may apply; please consult with your local governors and lawmakers. Not valid in Sembia, for reasons I would much rather not discuss.
