#SoME, Waterdeep, and Season 8

During this weekend’s Stream of Many Eyes, we saw a number of streamed games with a vast array of costumed characters in attendance. I mean, we had Mirt the Moneylender, Elminster, and so many more… the stream has been recapped across a wide variety of media outlets, so let’s do up the two big highlights as they pertain to season 8 of D&D Adventurers League play:

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist

Launches in September and covers levels 1-5. There are multiple ways to play this adventure, with numerous villains, new downtime activities (wanna own a tavern?!), and a ton of other content that my NDAs won’t let me talk about yet. Don’t let the price tag scare you, there’s more than enough content in this tome to bring groups back over and over again

Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage

Launches in October and covers levels 6 through… 20. TWENTY! This is huge. Huuuuuuuuge. There are very, very few top-level adventures across decades of D&D material (when compared to low-level fare) and we knew this one had to be significant – and the Mad Mage certainly fits that bill.

There’s plenty of time to finish up your Tomb of Annihilation games and to teach Acererak a thing or two about barging into Faerun.

Special bonus fact: the entire D&D Adventurers League administration team (along with several other talented contributors) crafted Undermountain. It’s gonna be one heck of a ride!
