DDAL05-17 Hartkiller’s Horn

Claiming to possess Hartkiller’s Horn, Ryndolg makes his move to take control of the Hartvale. The non-giant residents have been pressed to declare their allegiance or be destroyed. Do they swear fealty to Jarl Ryndolg, or is there another option? Is there another contender to the throne? Sometimes the best choices can be the most dangerous.

We included a special appendix to a couple of adventures earlier this season in DDAL05-08 and DDAL05-09 (the Durlag’s adventures for tier 3) regarding how characters can play both adventures and not level out of the second half of the adventure.

The feedback we’ve received has been good – constructive, and we appreciate it! – and we are officially extending the 2-part adventure rules to the following paired adventures:

DDAL05-14 Reeducation & DDAL05-15 Reclamation (tier 3)

DDAL05-18 The Mysterious Isle & DDAL05-19 Eye of Xxiphu (tier 4)

We recognize that players want to maintain their characters in their groups for as long as possible, and now that we’ve had some time to play with the paired adventure rules and without them… they’re here to stay! Stay tuned for how this impacts future seasons, but please note that this does not extend backwards to previous 8-hour adventures. In short, characters can “bank” their rewards from the earlier adventure if the next game they play is the second part of the adventure – but if they play ANYTHING else in the interim, the “banked” rewards immediately apply.

We will be uploading new versions of the affected adventures with the new appendix over the next few days.
